Terms & Conditions – Coromandel Seaview Motel

1. General

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and stays at Coromandel Seaview Motel (“the Motel”, “we”, “us”). By confirming a reservation, guests (“you”, “the guest”) agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions and any additional policies communicated at the time of booking or during your stay.

2. Payment Policy

  • A valid credit card is required to secure all bookings.

  • The full amount of your stay will be charged 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.

  • Credit card details are held securely and may be used to recover costs associated with damage, breakages, theft, excessive cleaning, or breach of Motel policies.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to arrival will not incur any charges.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival, including no‑shows, will incur a charge equal to 100% of the total booking value.

  • Early departures or unused nights are non‑refundable.

4. Check‑in and Check‑out

  • Check‑in: From 2:00 pm on the day of arrival.

  • Check‑out: By 10:00 am on the day of departure.

  • Late check‑out may be offered at our discretion and may incur additional charges.

5. Smoking Policy

  • All indoor areas of the Motel are strictly non‑smoking.

  • Smoking is permitted outside only, and guests must use the ashtrays provided.

  • Smoking inside any room or indoor area will result in a cleaning fee equivalent to one night’s tariff, charged to the credit card on file.

6. Use of Communal Facilities

  • The communal kitchen and laundry facilities may be used between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm only.

  • Guests must respect noise levels and ensure these areas are left clean and tidy after use.

  • Misuse of facilities may result in additional cleaning or damage charges.

7. Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

  • Take reasonable care of the room, furnishings, and all Motel property.

  • Report any damage, breakages, or maintenance issues promptly.

  • Ensure their studio is locked when unattended.

  • Keep vehicles locked at all times.

  • Supervise children at all times while on the property.

8. Liability

  • All personal belongings, vehicles, and valuables are the sole responsibility of the guest.

  • The Motel accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal property, whether in rooms, vehicles, or communal areas.

  • Guests stay at the property at their own risk.

  • The Motel is not liable for injury, accidents, or events beyond its reasonable control.

9. Right to Refuse Service or Terminate Stay

The Motel reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service or accommodation to any person who breaches these Terms and Conditions.

  • Terminate a stay without refund if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or causes damage to property or disturbance to other guests.

10. Privacy

Personal information collected during the booking process is used solely for reservation management, payment processing, and compliance with legal obligations. Information is handled in accordance with New Zealand privacy laws.

11. Amendments

The Motel may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply to your reservation.
